Sumo Paint – Awesome free photoshop competitor
Cloud Computing: A new generation of computing that utilizes distant servers for data storage and management, allowing the device to use smaller and more efficient chips that consume less energy than standard computers.
So, I found an awesome Adobe Photoshop competitor in an unlikely place. The cloud! While there is a lot of theorizing that computing is moving to the cloud and significant advances in server-based services, I have been more than skeptical in the idea of having higher processing needs being met. That is until recently when I found Sumo Paint.
Sumo Paint is a cloud-based application that provides graphics editing and photo manipulation equal to, if not better, than those same services provided by Adobe Photoshop. What is truly amazing though, is not that this service is free, surprisingly that comes a far second to the fact that you do not install anything onto your computer. Sumo Paint is run through your web browser! Looks like my budget just got a little better as I don’t have to keep purchasing the latest versions of Photoshop!
